Being a Lazy Writer During the Pendemic

Is it just me? Or since this pandemic took over, writing has become a bit harder. Along the way, you may have possibly become a couch potato. So now Starting and finishing a book, article or poem seems to take a lot longer than it should.
Being cooped up at home makes holding a pen feel like work, lol. I'll be sharing the steps I used to go back with a refreshed mind. So rise from your beds and couches because it's about to go down.
1. Time Management.
Due to the COVID-19, most of us have so much time that we don't know what to do with. If you're finding it a bit challenging to hop on the literary train, then take some time off to gather inspiration.
You could dedicate a week to researching, reading related books and if necessary, watching documentaries. Penning everything down is super important.
2. Set a Goal/time frame.
I would advice you set a short term goal (1 - 2 weeks) and a long term goal (probably 1 month), whichever works best for you.
If you are writing a book from scratch, you could use a week or two to work on an outline for the plot. It doesn't have to be perfect. Within those weeks, you can make corrections and seek inspiration to improve on it (I.e watching movies with similar settings as yours or do some traditional research for amazing character development and accurate information.
After your two weeks of research, you can finally dive into writing and bringing those stories to life. You're one month goal could be to complete three chapters. That way you won't feel stressed or pressured.
3. Relax, think, meditate.

This is for poets out there. Poetry never comes to anyone like an overflowing river. If it does, then you are extraordinary.
You need to take an hour or two once in awhile and 'Relax, Think and Meditate. Don't stress, just meditate, gather all your thoughts and let the words flow. You can also read the works of other increadible poets for inspiration like; the famous William Shakespeare, Maya Angelou and my absolute favorite Emily Dickinson.
Thanks alot ,
